Laying Asphalt

We install 3 inches of machine laid asphalt in residential driveways. Our unique system involves laying the asphalt in two layers. Asphalt is to be “vibra” compacted after 1st layer and 2nd layer, with proper water pitch. This means we compact the asphalt twice rather than laying 3 inches of asphalt down at once. We have found over the years that having more compaction), increases the quality and life of the driveway.

Asphalt Maintenance

Asphalt Emulsion Pavement Sealer

Asphalt driveways do require some maintenance and should be sealed every year to every other year. A brand new driveway should be sealed no sooner than 60 days after being installed. Our sealer is comprised of asphalt emulsions, has less curing time and is more environmentally friendly. We hand apply a generous coat of the sealant with a squeegee brush to apply a thicker coat, thus creating more longevity.

Driveway Cracks

If there are cracks in the driveway, they should be filled as well. We offer hot crack fill and cold emulsion crack fill. Cold crack fill is cheaper, but it simply fills the crack. Hot crack fill, while more expensive, will bond with the asphalt better, and expand and contract along with the crack.

Stronger Concrete Mix

We install concrete per Village and City requirements, meaning we install with the proper base stone. We even install the area with a stronger 6-bag concrete mix.

Stamped Concrete

Stamped concrete adds character to every home or business. Please see the showroom at our office, or ask us to see samples of textures, colors, and references. We would be more than happy to show you the various stamped concrete options.

Concrete Sealers

Kure-N-Seal & Barricade

We offer two different sealers for concrete. A basic sealer called Kure-N-Seal helps cure, seal and reduce dusting for new or aged concrete. Barricade Sealer helps cure, seal, and reduce dusting for new or aged concrete, but it also prevents salt deterioration.

Concrete Maintenance

Concrete is more expensive, but it can last longer than other materials, and it requires little to no maintenance. However, concrete cannot be salted in the winter, unlike asphalt. If salted, the concrete will at some point experience spalling and scaling. If you must use salt, we recommend use of Calcium Chloride and not Rock Salt.
